Peripheral equipment

The special machines built by neyret group are delivered as turn-key machines, assembling from A to Z. Peripheral equipment is specially selected to account the dimensions, the type of the components and other technical specifications.

neyret group teams can integrate any kind of peripheral and are developing the appropriate interfaces with the assembly line without any external service assistance.

neyret group proposes specific and modular equipment for tray palletizing or parts transfers. These solutions are completing the assembly machines.

Specific peripherals

PALLETIZER & DEPALLETIZER FOR THERMOFORMED TRAY

This equipment is using robots to feed the components supplied by trays. Fragile components, aspect parts or products such as insulin pen injector, perfume caps, lipsticks….

Neyret Group has developed standard type palletizers that can be adapted or specifically developed according to the specific characteristics of your trays, your products, production rates and layout constrains.

The palletizers are fully controlled with the machine HMI or independently. They are all suitable for clean rooms.

Technical characteristics:
Robot: XY type, scara, delta type, 6 axis
Max number of parts per transfer: 12
Tray sizes: 300x400mm, 400x600mm, 600x800mm or custom size

CONVEYOR FIFO® (First-In-First-Out)

The linear conveyor FIFO is a link between 2 index machines or from a molding press to the machine. It is long indexed specific link chain which allows around 5 minutes of buffer. Each link has a nest to convey the products.

The chain accumulates if the downstream machines stop, and decumulates if the upstream machine stops. Doing so allows continuous operation during any short stoppage.

TRANSFER SYSTEMS AND SYNCHRONIZATION

To manage longer process times than machine cycle time, or to transfer parts between stations, or to accommodate asynchronous dials, special systems have been developed.

Index motion:

  • Small satellite turntables or mechanical sliders placed in an arc fed with the products from the main machine using an exchanger manipulator (eHELICO®). For example: torque measurements, electrical testing, siliconizing, leak testing…)
  • 3D cones to rotate products gradually and smoothly from horizontal to vertical. For example: pen cartridges)

Continuous Motion:

  • Synchronized Indexed Satellite turntable (SIS). For example: feeding spring components during an index position then synchronized with a continuous motion turntable.
  • Variable Pitch Satellite Turntable (SPV). If a component is fragile, this device allows to collect the part at very low speed then to accelerate it at the dial speed.
  • Cardioid Satellite Turntable (double SPV)

Integrated Peripherals

There are several kinds of feeding or transfer systems of the product components. Selecting the most suitable system requires to know the dimensions and mass of the components, the number of variants, the speed, the footprint, the environment, the fragility of the components or other requirements.

LOADING THE COMPONENTS

Feeding Equipment

  • Vibrating or centrifuge feeder bowl, sort the components and feed them in natural position in a vibrating track, a fluidic track or on a belt, etc.
  • Vibrating or elevating hopper according to buffering volume and the ergonomics
  • Tumbler, especially used for detangling and feeding springs
  • Tray feeders with scara or 6 axis robots to accommodate many variants

Flexible loading equipment

Robots coupled with vision systems allow to select difficult component geometry, and to distribute many variants of the same type of component.

Among flexible equipment:

  • Vibrating table or bowl on which the robot picks up the parts that were selected by the camera
  • Tracking system via a belt conveyor, and robot picking up while parts are transported

TRANSFER

Conveying

  • Belt conveyor suitable for good product stability during transfer
  • Plastic chain conveyor allowing great flexibility
  • FIFO conveyor (First-In-First-Out) for accumulation/decumulation buffering
  • Lifting conveyor to allow for underneath pedestrian passage
  • Vibrating or fluidized track to manage somewhat little buffer

UNLOADING PRODUCTS

Once the product assembly and checks are done, the finished or semi-finished products are collected by different kind of equipment:

  • Bulk recipient, carton or container or a plastic bag with fixed quantities
  • Plastic tray or palletized container (layers) by robot picking from a belt conveyor or a track
  • Blistering equipment to place the product in a cartridge or a small plastic recipient
